The equestrian center is one of the most unique features of Salamander Middleburg.
With 25 acres dedicated to entry-level equestrian use, our beautiful Equestrian Center features a 14,000-square-foot stable complete with 22 stalls, nine beautiful paddocks and an outdoor riding arena with ThorTurf footing.

THE CUPCAKE EXPRESS

$165+ per child | Ages 5 & Up | Weight Limit: 75lbs | 1 Hour
All aboard the sweetest ride... The Cupcake Express! Learn how to groom & harness up our adorable miniature horse Cupcake and then take her for a country drive in her adorable cart! One Hour. This session is limited to one child accompanying the Equestrian Center team member in the cart.

COUNTRYSIDE GROUP TRAIL RIDE

$165+ per person | Ages 10 & up | Weight Limit: 220lbs
Discover the natural beauty of our countryside while riding our gentle trail horses. Your guide will take you through the wooded trails for a one hour leisurely walk to explore the resort grounds and trails.
Weather and ground conditions permitting.

STONE WALL PRIVATE TRAIL RIDE

$215+ per person | Ages 10 & up | Weight Limit: 220lbs
Designed for the more experienced and educated rider or those who seek more solitude in the woods and fields.
One hour guided ride for one or multiple riders.

RIDING LESSON

$165+ per person | Ages 5 & up | Weight Limit: 220lbs
Enjoy private, one-hour instruction on one of our seasoned lesson horses or ponies. Lessons include grooming, leading, ground safety and riding on the flat. We do not offer jumping instruction.

ESSENTIAL HORSEMANSHIP

$165+ per person | Ages 5 & up
Whether you are new to horses or wanting to add to your equestrian skills, this program can cover anything from grooming and handling techniques to braiding, bandaging, tacking (English or Western) and everything in between. One hour in the stable, unmounted. Group Rates available.

HORSES 101

$200+ per family (up to 4 guests) | All ages
Horsey fun for the whole family! Enjoy a private session for all ages to learn about petting, grooming and basic horse care & safety. Each family will have their own horse and equestrian team member to spend time with, take photos and fully embrace your visit to horse country. One hour in stable.

EQUINE COMMUNICATION

$165+ per person | Family rates available | Ages 8 & up | 1-2 Hours | Offered mid-March through mid-November
This unique program partners horse and human to enlighten on the topics of leadership, authenticity, clear communication and the impact of body language and energy. Explore the world of “horse whispering” and experience an interaction like none other.

PONY RIDE

$35+ per child | Ages 2-4
Make lifetime memories as your little one enjoys a 10-minute ride on one of our adorable ponies! Parent or guardian must side-walk with child.

PAINT-A-PONY

$165+ per person | Ages 5 & up
Learn about our horse’s coat colors, markings and breeds. Followed by painting your own model horse to look like one of the Salamander horses or your dream horse! A short pony ride is also included. One hour in the stable.

PONY PARTY

$300+ per pony | Ages 2-10 | 5 children maximum per pony
Included in a one hour pony party: reserve 1-4 ponies or horses and leaders for pony rides on front lawn of the Stable or Arena, Meet & Greet with our mini horse Cupcake, feeding the ponies and Cupcake carrots & treats and a group photo op. All children will receive a keepsake photo of the pony they ride or Cupcake. Each child is required to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver form before riding and side walk with the pony/horse. Children may ride multiple times if they desire.

*A 25% service charge is added to all equestrian activities. Additional gratuities may be added at your discretion.

Overnight Stabling

Your beloved equine companion will enjoy Five-Star care and attention from the professional & experienced staff at the Salamander Middleburg's Equestrian Center. Explore our trails, cap with local Hunts, and enjoy the convenience of being only minutes from competitions and show grounds.

$165 PER NIGHT, PER HORSE/STALL INCLUDES:

Spacious 12x12 box stall with a rear dutch door, ceiling fan and generously bedded with pine shavings
Each stall is equipped with water buckets, feed tub, Himalayan salt block and stall guard
Free choice quality hay (or as supplied by Owner)
Stalls are cleaned and bedded daily
Feeding as instructed by Owner
Thorough daily wellness checks
Private turnout in grass paddocks (weather permitting)
Blanketing, fly masks and fly spray applied
Tack and equipment storage
Complimentary trailer parking
