Treetop Zip Tour

When you take a step off the platform and zip through the tree top canopy, it will be an experience you will truly never forget. Gliding from tree top platform to tree top platform, you’ll go across five different zip lines varying in length from 275' to 675' and two suspension sky bridges. The course spans over 20 acres and is over a half mile long.

Kiddo Zip

For our youngest resort guests, this zip line experience is designed to be the perfect amount of fun, thrill and excitement to leave them feeling accomplished and proud of their adventurous side. With a guide, each kiddo zips our 275’ zip line three times! Minimum age is four-years-old.

PONY RIDE

Make lifetime memories as your little one enjoys a 10-minute ride on one of our adorable ponies! Parent or guardian must side-walk with child.

PAINT-A-PONY

Learn about our horse’s coat colors, markings and breeds. Followed by painting your own model horse to look like one of the Salamander horses or your dream horse! A short pony ride is also included. One hour in the stable.

PONY PARTY

$350+ per pony | Ages 2-10 | 5 children maximum per pony
Included in a one hour pony party: reserve 1-4 ponies or horses and leaders for pony rides on front lawn of the Stable or Arena, Meet & Greet with our mini horse Cupcake, feeding the ponies and Cupcake carrots & treats and a group photo op. All children will receive a keepsake photo of the pony they ride or Cupcake. Each child is required to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver form before riding and side walk with the pony/horse. Children may ride multiple times if they desire.

PHOTO SHOOTS

Cupcake is available for photo shoots on the resort property with families, wedding parties and groups. She will be groomed and braided to look her best for your special photos. An Equestrian staff member will accompany Cupcake to the photo shoot location and assist as needed.

Zombie Archery

Prepare for a zombie apocalypse with our fun twist on our archery class. Zombie
targets are added to our regular set up for your aiming pleasure.

Axe Throwing

Axe Throwing not only combines sport and technique, but will give you an exhilarating feeling of strength and ruggedness. A great way to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of the resort, this activity will thoroughly go over several throwing techniques before you participate in a friendly competition. Similar to archery, not only is axe throwing entertaining and unique, but can help you cultivate a skill that is useful in many survival or sporting situations. Relax, kick back, and feel like a lumberjack!

Blades & Bows

Experience both archery & axe throwing in the Meadow as a standalone activity.

Hop in our specialized fishing raft and fish or fly-fish to your hearts content while our professional guides row you down one of their favorite stretches of river. Expect to see thriving populations of legendary smallmouth bass along with an assortment of sunfish, and the occasional walleye and musky. SELF-GUIDED RIVER TRIP

Take a scenic drive from Salamander to Front Royal, Virginia, to enjoy the serenity of the famous Shenandoah River. Options to explore this natural beauty include: Paddle-by-the-Hour on a slow-flowing section of river, or have us shuttle you upriver to experience a free-flowing stretch of the Shenandoah in a canoe, kayak, inner-tube or commercial grade raft. Ages 5 and up. Small or large groups welcome by reservation.
